The "wolf" is still in the same village map, until you undress it and reveal it's true face. Check behind objects like trees or fences. Sometimes characters are slightly hidden, and not standing fully in view.
OK got that, thanks, enjoying the game so far. One marriage done, and loads more to do yet though.....
