I couldn't get this to open at all, probably my system? The first time I tried to download it Chrome said "Woah, this is a virus." I got it to download eventually, but then it said my graphics card isn't compatible. I tried running it with the command line suggested, but it didn't recognize the operation, so I had to give up. I ended up watching the vod to see it in action. I think there are a lot of good ideas here, and I'd love to see it fleshed out and polished!

Damn, that's a shame. I'm still somewhat new to godot so I'm not sure what prevented it from running on your system. There are probably a lot of optimization we could do, as I could get it launching on my surface tablet but it froze pretty quickly.

This was essentially unplayable for me with the resolution, lighting, and controls. I did manage to finally get to the initial area after extensively looking at the jam page, but the character obstructed view of projectiles, and I died very shortly. I was not really able to engage with the mechanics, which allegedly describe a "crit" and "backfire" system, but those seemed more added on rather than integral to the game.

Ironically the crit and backfire "backend" system took the vast majority of my coding efforts but I did not get them implemented properly in time unfortunately. I feel these are all good points but I wonder what the issue with the controls were? I'm hoping to improve on this prototype and release a better version so if there is something I missed with the controls knowing that would be helpful.
