I was actually just having this same problem in the most recent english version, on windows 11. Using cheats to get to the caves area in a second save file also gave me the same issue.
Are you running the game on integrated Intel Graphics (commonly the case with laptops)? It seems to have issues running OpenGL shaders. Could you check if you can run the game using a dedicated GPU?
