Look man for the advance I made in this game and I'm also new to this game. so i would recommend doing the girls side events as well, because sometimes to proceed in the main event, you have to have advanced in the female branch. and don't worry, you can always refuse to develop intimate relationships with them, in my case; I declined the Astrid route, "I hate her mind games!" and Tabitha.
