If this would have been my first ending i may have cried, too. Or not. Nauxus made his choice and declared war.
Up to this point i haven't dared to play the Lizard Route at all, because i read its even more brutal and sad. Another reason is that i like Axel and Thane a lot. [Imagine playing Mass Effect trilogy without Wrex and Tali!]
my dumb brain decided to do bull route first which broke me at nauxus death, then i tried the lizard route which was also sad but not as sad as bull route bcs u don't fight either axel or Thane and then i went for the good ending which left me with a relief.
I like nauxus way better than axel and the reason being he is very nice and polite to eyvind unlike axel. Nauxus taught how to seduce the enemy which is extremely helpful in some cases. Fighting him was very painful and the worse part he has a second phase. That fight really makes sure that u do not hesitate in fighting nauxus. The reason why i said this last line bcs in the lizard route u poison the Bulls and it seems like u fight axel but in reality u don't. The worse part of bull ending is that u get to see Thane and axel die slowly.
The worst part is the number of casualties. The Bulls raze the village but not the people, most Lizards excape, some killed by the fire .. caused by Nauxus.
In Terms of Character Nauxus vs. Axel; Everyone got their bias and can see each of them either way. For some people Nauxus is frinedly and very polite. Yes he is. However from my viewpoint he is also also very manipulative, sometimes ruthless and not entirely honest. Axel's first impression by most people: Axel is a stubborn and brutal dikkhead with anger issues. And after that, they don't bother to take another look.
what really matters is that in the (good) end they both show their true selves-
Axel- who looks rude and scary but loves his people and family.
Nauxus- who looks friendly and polite but has been using the player this entire time.
Now they don't have to fight anymore and can live with each others presence. Also i am confused with the fact that the entire time of the actual war, where was selye? The last time players encounter him was during the lizard festival and then they will encounter him during his boss battle. It's not like i care about him but still he is that one character who seems to be jealous of eyvind bcs nauxus likes him but still his character still needs some development or reveal some hidden answers like his backstory or why does he not allow eyvind to enter his room? (Just a fact, i haven't done the fourth route)

Axel demeanor and rudeness doesn't bother me at all. Maybe it's a culture thing.
When i read old comments on itch or youtube i got the impression that some players fail to see th following : For Nauxus Eyvind is a guest and ally, for Axel Eyvind is an intruder at first and then a member of the tribe. Axel doesn't need to sugercoat Eyvind (or the reader), Axel is the Chieftain and has proven his worth in the past decades , so Eyvind must obey. So actually Axel is pretty linient and forthcoming with Eyvind and Thane, when they doesn't immediatly jump on command. On the other hand Axel is now responsible for Eyvind and his deeds. He is part of the tribe now, the bulls call him brother fleabag, and Axel ,as the chieftain, got the duty to protect Eyvind like any other member of the tribefamily.
In the End both Nauxus and Axel are great characters in their own way, with a sad background and lot of burderns to overcome.

Yea nice to talk to you too. I have completed most of the game v0.25 and i visit this game page so that I can help players with any section they find difficult. This is a great game. Even it is gay and has furries it has some emotional and scary moments which makes it great. It is a balance of all the emotions like happiness, sadness, fear. I struggled with some missions and i don't want others to struggle too.
