(Just a fact, i haven't done the fourth route)

Same. I am too much of a pussy  to play the game with Axel and Thane being dead.

Axel- who looks rude and scary but loves his people and family.

Nauxus- who looks friendly and polite but has been using the player this entire time.

Axel demeanor and rudeness doesn't bother me at all. Maybe it's a culture thing. 

When i read old comments on itch or youtube i got the impression that some players fail to see th following : For Nauxus Eyvind is a guest and ally, for Axel Eyvind is an intruder at first and then a member of the tribe. Axel doesn't need to sugercoat Eyvind (or the reader), Axel is the Chieftain and has proven his worth in the past decades , so Eyvind must obey. So actually Axel is pretty linient and forthcoming with Eyvind and Thane, when they doesn't immediatly jump on command. On the other hand Axel is now responsible for Eyvind and his deeds. He is part of the tribe now, the bulls call him brother fleabag, and Axel ,as the chieftain, got the duty to protect Eyvind  like any other member of the tribefamily.

In the End both Nauxus and Axel are great characters in their own way, with a sad background and lot of burderns to overcome.
