Learning how to make a game can be frustrating at times, especially for people who don't normally code (like me lol). I mostly only copy paste codes, but even that can be confusing too sometimes. You can try renpy if you're looking to making your own visual novel. It can be confusing when you first use it, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to make a simple VN in no time.
And please don't feel bad for rambling! I love reading/listening to people's ramblings LMAO I'm just happy that you're enjoying yourself!

Oh yeah, I've seen the drawing of Yuki and the other Ichigo doodles, they're adorable!! Also, Yuki seems to just be an age younger than Aimi. All of the characters are 17 (with the exception of Yuzuki, he's 18 because he's had his birthday early at January LMAO). I don't have tumblr, but I'll periodically check your tumblr because the little doodles are honest to god way too cute HAHA

I have this bad habit if I really like something I tend to base some of my own work offa it [which is why I try not to read too much fanfiction that gives me ideas TvT]
I still don't have a plot yet but I have exactly three characters in my head--one is Yuki, she has the same name [including the last name, Miyamoto] as my Sweetest Valentine OC but looks completely different-she's a self-insert for now since I'm working her personality out, and the MC. I'm considering making her slightly sassier and cockier than myself [imagine Mitsuba from TBHK just watered-down a bit]
The next guy is Kaede, the childhood friend of the MC that's slightly similar to Ichigo but looks more like Haruto. He's a yandere too, but keeps those like..voodoo dolls? Of the other love interests and they're all torn apart. The only one that isn't torn apart is the doll of Yuki's [with her real hair]
spoilers for a possible ending I'm thinking of: Yuki'll remember the times Kaede offered to clean her brush off to 'help her out', but all those loose strands in the brush went into the doll. He also keeps a bottle of Yuki's perfume for the doll specifically, dresses the doll up, and pretends to go on "dates" with her by using his doll. He also has a bunch of sets like a wedding reception, the park, etc to bring the dolls into. [by this point he just sounds insane TvT]
The third guy is unnamed, but one of those shy types who hate themselves-he stutters a lot and is fairly smart. [I'm trying to tread the thin line between that one guy from Boyfriends and Muku from A3, 'cause I wanna include both their traits, but not enough that it seems...weird TvT] he's also secretly a pop star named "Rxbbit" [from the recent book I read called Rabbits by Terry Miles, would recommend the book 100%] because he has a beautiful singing voice and he doesn't stutter when he sings.
Unfortunately, I still don't have much of a plot except MAYBE Kaede trying to kick Yuki awake to go to a Halloween event [it's the dialogue I'm coding rn as a test to see how everything works]
I CAN!? :eyes: [ignore how I'm tryna use Discord emojis here ;-; the main three things I was wondering was how you coded the Home Screen, the text borders, and if I could use a font generator to generate some font, kinda like in Yuzuki's Route lol

The plot sounds interesting already, Kaede seems like an absolutely insane person and I'm looking forward to see his creepiness in action LMAO. Grabbing the MC's comb just to steal her strands of hair is just peak yandere behavior and I love it, the dolls too.
This other guy also seems really cute, I enjoy characters with double lives a lot, and he seems mostly like a cinnamon roll (boy I'm gonna jinx it aren't I, he's going to turn batshit or something LMAOAO)
As for the home screen, honestly I just used the default ones and changed the position and font. Text border is... I'm assuming the dialogue box for the game? You can find the dialogue box file in the GUI folder (I think) and just change that file directly into whatever you want. Here's another video that could possibly help you with it: https://youtu.be/AHuIHrvBBII
And you can absolutely use font generator, yeah! I just typed the original text in like those zalgo font generator, then copy and pasted the result to the script. Put a {nw} tag afterwards to have it seem like it abruptly stopped, then boom. It works just fine.
