If anyone still got trouble with freezing during the Amazon quest/Basement:

Extract this in game/data folder & overwrite. It disables the problematic cinematic in question.

Well it got me to the Succ's warp out at the end of the scene before locking up. Guess I've just got awful luck with this game. Which is a shame because it's great.
