I would love to play this game but won't run on MAC (current v 0.973) on MacbookPro 2020 Big Sur 11.6.5. Just get "You don't have permission..." and I am the Sys Admin. Have tried to start from Finder with CTL click as well and same issue.
Update: IN case anyone has the problem again, I solved the problem by moving the executable into the Applications folder in Mac (instead of imbedded in a Game folder within the App folder).
