First thing's first, please upgrade to version v0.308 if possible, as that should run a little better. You can use the save file transfer guide included within to import your saves so you don't lose any progress.
Second thing to check is how you're running the game. If you're using a USB stick or any kind of external drive, we highly recommend running the game natively, as that should help increase the performance too.
