I also do take extra precaution and change a buncha things when I interact, grew up this way, if a kid tried to be friends with me I'd make a fake alias first (I don't trust people at a first glance and am cautious) but it made sound similar to my real name so in case the kid's a actually good friend then I'd reveal my true name, and also then my fake name would become my nickname bc i was afraid of a friend leaving me bc i lied abt my name fully, using a nick I could use a as a way to excuse my name faking and say it was a just a nickname 🤣.
