I really do like the concept of dying and getting new abilities, but the actual execution of that concept could've been done better in my opinion.

It's weird that the Itch page calls this "Jungle Jam" but the menu says Lost World Adventure. That's a completely different title which might make some think you stole the game from somewhere. Of course I don't think this'd be stolen, but it's still a weird inconsistency.

When it comes to the actual game itself, I felt like the environment could've been a bit more distinct from the actual interactable objects. Maybe a bit of blur would've done good, although this is a pixel art game so that kind of thing might clash with the art style.

The music was good though it looped a little weirdly, pausing for a few seconds and then starting up again.

The game itself confused me. There was no sort of guidance and I had no idea how the special abilities worked and by extension how the game was related to the theme. I think a simple in-game tutorial could easily solve this.

The player felt slow and I figured out that you have to hold shift to run, but that wasn't clarified on the itch page or in the actual game itself.

I also encountered a pretty consistent bug where if you stood on top of an enemy, the player bounced side to side.

Overall, the art style, music and storyline as described on the Itch page were great, however the lack of guidance really bogged this one down for me. I do think that with a bit of polishing and updating, this could be a very good game!

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I'll add running to the description, but the discrepancy between the working and final title will have to wait a few days for the end of the  jam.
