APKs have to stay under 2GB.

That means that every update will be more compressed than the last one. I'll keep releasing Android builds, but the quality will be terrible by the time the game ends, just keep it in mind.

I said split APK, not compressed. Essentially, that's two APKs with half the content in each. There's no rule saying that you have to squeeze everything into one APK, especially if you do so by reducing the quality.

Look at Tales From the Unending Void, for example, or Sinful Life. 

Naturally, there are even better methods to bypass the 2GB limit, like additional resource files. It's not unusual for an install to be only a few hundred MB, but then fetch up to several GB of assets. Of course, that would require a fair amount of extra effort to learn and implement, and I don't want to ask too much. Thus, my suggestion of a split APK.
