It is no coincidence that we find the presence of the pelican among the Egyptians who make it an ornamental animal walking in gardens and palaces. Priests liken it to the swan, the pelican being “the light brooding over the egg of the world”. The bird was also sacred among Muslims, a veneration that has its origins in a legend according to which it was supposed to have participated in the construction of the Kaaba, in Mecca.
Little did I know that pelican party could have taught me things about the beauty of this world one day.... 🤓
