Yeah you can keep playing, you just have to go to the place where Pizza Tony is, and then walk to you house by just walking straight west from pizza Tony. I forget why this happens but if you get the salt from PT and go home ANY OTHER WAY besides just walking straight west from PT, you can't read the book
