I am not quite sure what you're asking for.
Currently when an event is ready you are notified during the Day Transition screen or in the Stats Screen as "!". As the tip mentioned when you started, most events are started at a character's door. Clicking the "Talk" options will tell you exactly what you need to do and where you need to go.
