We haven't had this issue reported to us, nor can I reproduce it. Note that if you save on a line showing an error and load that save after it is fixed, Ren'Py is inclined to restore the line exactly as it was in the save keeping the issue intact. Try starting a new save on the intro remake to see if it happens.
