So I usually just lurk on Itch and pick up games without paying for them, I know, I know, I'm a real hero.  But I had to stop and comment.  I have been -gushing- about Divine Dawn to all my friends since I picked it up a few days ago.  The lore of this universe is beautiful, the magic system has that perfect blend of details and functionality that is just *chef's kiss*, and don't even get me STARTED on the characters.  I've added the game to my wishlist on Steam and you can bet your bonnet I'm buying a copy as soon as its for sale.  Always reach for what you want, Cryswar, and thank you so much for making this game!

Glad to hear you've been enjoying the game, and sharing it with your friends! Word of mouth is powerful, especially in a world where we tune out most advertisements and disregard capsule images within a few seconds.

I often joke that the rest of the game is an excuse for worldbuilding, and it's not entirely a joke. The characters and the setting all feed into each other, each useful to flesh out the other, and that is by far my favorite part of the process. The magic system is part of that as well, a semi-realistic take on something obviously fantastical. I still remember when I first did a magic training (about 2000 words) and people complained it was over too quickly - which spawned the much larger Aether training rework.

And hey, thank you for the vote of confidence! I turned off purchases on Itch for now since I didn't want to charge for the already-free version, but it'll be buyable here in probably 5-10 days as well, depending on which storefront you prefer. Steam will be in late April (aiming for the 20th). No ETA yet on other storefronts, but I gotta sort them out soon too.

And thank you for playing the game!
