If playing v.0.0.5, pick up the dark mirror stand in front of a regular mirror you can find in bathroom or Luna's bedroom. It should cast red light that will knock Shy ghost.
For v.0.0.6, procedure is same you just have to press 'F' or 'Use Key' you have assigned to activate that red ray.
