I love this demo! As one of your trans students, I feel this- not only the budget but also the emotional energy it takes to simply choose to wear clothes that match who I am instead of what I have lying around. Luckily, I have the opposite of the pink tax, but I still have to buy different makeup products if I want to contour my face and of course hygiene products are impossible to avoid. I love the art, and the music has just the right amount of serenity and tension to leave you feeling stressed at some moments and peaceful at others. The gameplay was fun, I was a little confused at first when I realized that you had to shave when doing makeup, but soon I figured out how to time myself so that I wasn't shaving twice in a row. I think it's a really sweet game that would be awesome if you continued it.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I can say that shaving and makeup being one merged action has confused quite a few players, so that's one of the things I plan on making clearer next!
I really appreciate you sharing your own experiences, too! I'm hoping that the game can encourage motions of solidarity, as we identify the material circumstances that limit us, and how we may liberate ourselves in spite of those circumstances toward feasible euphoria! I definitely want to continue development when I get the chance!
