Until i reached the puzzle with the chakra stones’ weight it was fairly good: not too easy, but not too hard either.  However, i had a hard time understanding what the pendulum was telling me and spent a lot of time there.

I thought that i could not finish it when i saw that i had to remember the numbers from the first location and the piece of eight thingy. I believe this is a misunderstanding on my part because what i thought as the “inventory” were the boxes at the bottom of the screen, so i did not know where the notes went—for me, the chest was where the tarot cards appeared, and nothing more—and did not see the other clues there until much, much later.

Performing the last ritual wrong was a bit of a shock, because i did not expect to die.  Also, if i realize that i lighted the candles before turning them green, there is no way to go back, so i had to die again and wait for the somewhat long cut-scene.

But other than that, i enjoyed it. It has a good atmosphere, and the art is very well done.

The most negative point for me is the mouse control, as it seems not as polished as the rest of the game.

For instance, the chest at the beginning gave me the fishing reel twice; or i could use the telescope once, having to move to the next screen and back to use it again.

Also, since the objects are used automatically sometimes i just had to look at something and the game would solve the puzzle for me, such as in the cut of the painting where the minute hand is—i already had the knife, just clicked to see what it would say, and all of a sudden i had the minute hand in my “inventory”.
