Unable to load freshly recorded samples in Ableton

Hi, I have a problem with Nimble kick on Ableton. Whenever I record a kick in Ableton and try to drag & drop it on Nimble, it doesn't load up. The name of the recorded audio appears in vst but the audio  doesn't upload into the vst. When I try to manually load from recorded audio file location, it says that file is in use and Nimble can't load it.  But if I save the project, close Aleton and reopen Nimble in the same project, the same sample then loads up fine. So it happens just with recently recorded samples.

I run 1.2.1 version of Nimble.
Thanks

I believe this is a problem with Ableton specifically, because they keep the file open (locked) so Nimble Kick can't use the file. When Ableton re-opens, the lock is no longer there so you can load it into Nimble Kick just fine.

I'm with you though, this is annoying. I might look into whether shared file loading is possible.

This happened to me when I first started to use Nimble Kick to load samples, until I realized when you re-sample anything in Ableton it renders by default to 24bit. Nothing loads successfully in Nimble Kick over 16bit. This can be fixed by changing in your default render settings in the Ableton preferences to 16bit.

p.s. to developer: how close are we to the next update!?

This is not accurate. In fact, most of my own kick samples are 32 bit.

I feel like such an asshole, I confused two different plug-ins. I am sorry about that. It was “Drop Designer” for Kontakt that had the bitrate issue not Nimble Kick.

So…. How’s the new version coming along? I am currently in the process of extracting all the “tocks” and “tails” separately throughout my entire kick library of kicks that have them together as one audio file in anticipation for the dual sample/dual window release.

Any progress update we can sink our teeth into?

Ah, I see! Thanks for the clarification :)

I don't have an ETA right now unfortunately, especially since I got a lot of separate work I need to finish now. I hope to get more time to work on it soon though!
