Are there any cheats in the game? Like is there a way for me to quickly get back to a spot I was in further on?

There are built-in money cheats but no way to skip content. The game is story-based and there are so many variables and so many checks that attempting to make a "skip forward" button would be functionally impossible.
Fortunately the game transfers saves automatically to the newest versions (if yours are missing due to Itch's odd patching method then you can use your autosaves) so nobody has to replay through everything unless they want to, or they delete/lose all their saves :)
