That's super cool I plan to make games as a hobby at some point so I like asking about the process small devs take to make their games

My suggestion is to start by copying a simple game you like (snake, angry birds, space invaders, a simple platformer, etc.) to get used to the tools and learn the gamemaking process.

The key is getting experience little by little with multiple completed small projects. Going through all the process until the finished, playable game is very rewarding and a great learning experience.

The course I followed to learn Unity at gamedev.tv was great because of that. Lots of small projects to learn the different concepts and tools. And I just saw they have a 95% discount on course bundles right now. It's a great chance to start your game making journey!
