Thank you for your honesty!

The old RPG Maker horror games were some direct inspiration for this project, so we're hoping to flesh out the direction we intend to go on moving forward.

I'll be posting updates every so often, so please do check back in every so often!

Interesting premise here, TouhOC's are always unique to see in entries and I like these designs. I can relate on not finishing in time, would be curious to see these characters continued though.

I'm eager to get going, myself. Lol. I'll be sure to try and post updates as we get going along with them, for sure. Still doing a lot of planning and the like for it based on feedback.

Thank you for your kind words!

The game has some mechanics implemented but I think it is not utilized to it's upmost potential, although that is fine because this was made in 3 days and I guess the developer runs out of time XD. For some reason, the ghost dissapear after I escape from battle, and I got a confirmation that that is a bug, but it's nothing major at this point, I believe.

I wonder what stories the other 7 ghosts will tell.

I streamed the game here around minute 187, if anyone wants to watch:

Thank you for taking the time to play the game on stream! I'm glad you were understanding of the limitations and enjoyed the story.

now thats rpgmaking

it ends suddenly but i really like it. probably a bigger story to tell than you had time for in three days, yeah? will totally be checking out updates

DeveloperSubmitted(+1)

Yeah, this is just one level of several. We'll be adding more as time goes on for sure

In a perhaps predictable happening for a story of this ambition, I entirely overscoped. Lol

But yes, we're hoping to show off a lot more with the post-Jam updates. Pedestal and I are aiming to really get going on making headway mid-November.  Thank you so much for your interest!

Are there any notes you may have, even minor ones, that I can take into account for the updates? I'd be deeply appreciative since your feedback is pretty excellent.

HI alright aeon talks about rpgmaking

notes: the biggest criticism is one i fully understand is not one that may be entirely possible to address BUT

but but but. the rtp graphics do not suit gensokyo very well. maybe i have just looked at them too long but having the ghostdude talk about the splendor of gensokyo on a scene i see fragments of every time i boot up mv is not the MOST enthralling

i DO really like the concept of battling being largely a bad thing and more focused on escape than dealing damage. i was actually tinkering around with that for a non-touhou fangame sometime earlier and it would be awesome to see another take

there is a chance i am reading this wrong though because the one encounter i got into swiftly ended in a crash! it is alright. happens

probably something to do with the panic meter. very cool concept, very horror game sanity-esque. (i haven't played many horror games with this mechanic but i'm pretty sure it's present)

you probably don't need me to tell you that uhhh interacting with the trees at the bottom to progress (even if it's just to end demo) or even assuming the player will look at them in this low visibility is a bit UNLIKELY

aaaaand the portrait art is very nice and uses of more obscure parts of touhou is always cool

i saw there were more than just the two maps in the game files so i booted it up to see if there was anything else i could say about the secret FUTURE PARTS of the game but it seems like most stuff isn't there. makes sense! three days! cool maps though

Interesting proof-of-concept. I like the direction your team is going so far, though there's not enough content for me to provide in-depth thoughts & judgement for yet. Looking forward to the full version!

Hello, Kevin!
Thank you so much. We did enough work to  prepare more content for insertion, but just couldn't fit it all in the Jam period. Hopefully, we can get that out ASAP so you can enjoy it and dig more into it!

Ah, wasn't sure at which point was there the signal that the demo was complete, but I think I did all that I could. The mysterious girl from Dolls in Pseudo Paradise was never reintroduced to be as anyone else.. I think..? So she was definitely open to interpretation.

Really digging the writing here. Straight to the point. The point being raw emotions. It's not everyday where each sentence either gets me wondering, or basking in the moment.

Thank you for playing!

The player is meant to go to the bottom of the map and click on the bushes to indicate the demo is over. Glad to see you enjoyed it though!

We're certainly aiming to experiment with the source material, so we hope to show that off in future updates.
