Was the old version fully removed?
Did you try cleaning up old save files? (Can't guarantee, but I heard saves should be in SD:/Android/data/com.fatescollide.program/files/saves/
Did it alert of suspicious file? It often happens that it registers it as suspicious, so maybe it didn't install properly.
Do try to uninstall and check those things I said and get back to me. Unfortunately, if it persist, and it doesn't show any error code message, there is nothing else I can do.
