Sorry, for the inconvenience, but because of developmental complications, importing older saves has never been possible for my game. Doing so leads to unforeseeable errors at multiple points in the game, because various aspects are adjusted under the hood. To circumvent this issue somewhat, I include multiple save files at varying points of progression to help returning players get back up to speed.

For specific save data tweaking, my patrons have access to a developer room, which contains skips to specific chapters, access to nearly all items in the game, level and gold modification, and more.

Ah I see, totally understandable, was just wondering!

I'm afraid that you will always get these sorts of comments, even when the game is fully released. During the release for this next and any future versions, you need to put out a message: "PLEASE DON'T IMPORT OLD SAVE DATA!" so SOME PEOPLE might notice.

it’s in the readme file of the game and posted on a bunch of other places. I can’t force people to read the file though and I don't want to be abrasive about it. At this point, ive just created a catch-all copy/paste response for people asking about save imports.
