BitDefender is not a good piece of software. GRC (Gibson Research Corporation) created a security utility called 'LeakTest' to test if a rogue program triggers outbound firewall defenses. BitDefender failed. Instead of fixing the problem (by implementing proper outbound traffic protection), they instead blacklisted the individual GRC LeakTest program itself.
They are a horrible trash company with trash security and garbage 'developers' that liberally plagiarize & repackage a variety of open-source code/utilities to profit without bothering to obey any licensing for GPL or otherwise.
