Found a bug. During loading, when earphone are plugged in, the game won't make any sound. If plugged in before launching the game or after loading it just works fine.
Not a bug with the game, but with the underlying software I'm afraid. For some reason it interacts very weirdly with certain earphones/headphones on certain devices. Nothing to be done about it unless the creator of Ren'py can track down the issue and fix it, sadly.
