So us giving you something nice is a shitty thing to do?

(1 edit) (+2)(-8)

No, your whole "any adult with a smartphone should have $5" spiel you do comes across very hoity-toity, and it comes across as a very shitty attitude towards people who just want to be able to enjoy your work.

Edit:  Essentially, you're being a dick about it.  You could just leave the explanation at saying

1.  It takes extra work our dev team is not accustomed to

2.  You get latest features that are also only available to paying members on Subscriberstar

and just leave the whole stupid "you should have $5" out of it, especially as for several people have stated that $5USD skyrockets prices in poorer countries.  I don't know how itch.io works, but many developers lower prices in other countries because of this issue.  Stellaris ($40), for example, only costs $3.81 in Argentina, $4.25 in Turkey, and $10.85 in Russia in order to adjust to the purchasing power of each nation and their currencies.

We did say points 1 and 2 in other posts. And we cannot change the costs per country, so yes that's very unfortunate as the greater finical markets are in flux, and hopefully we can make it up in the future.

Thanks for the quick reply!  I noticed you saying points 1 and 2 in some of the other replies (and the dev log, which people did't read apparently), but it is just better to leave the explanation there than to continue on with the "you should have $5" justification.

Sucks itch.io doesn't have region-based pricing (yet, presumptively), but that's not anything you can help.

Thanks for taking my reply seriously and not just snapping back or being a smartass.  I was frustrated reading the "you should have $5" justifications, and was waiting on your response to determine if I would purchase the game.  Thank you for being understanding with the points I brought up.

Yep, we totally get it. And any support, monetary or otherwise, is always appreciated!
