A short game with a spooky atmosphere. Playtime around ~5 minutes.

My playthrough:

(SPOILERS BELOW)

My thoughts on the game:

  • I wish there was something actually slowly chasing you.
  • The red effect is a little too much at the end. Additionally, it works timer-based, while it should be region based. In other words, it would've felt more appropriate if the closer you got to the white area it would fade in, and fade out quickly when you get close to the white area, and of course stay that way so you could make it less "red" by going backwards - This can be achieved by comparing the distance between one of the axis of the player and a number which represents an axis next to the white door - The distance will determine the effect intensity if the distance is close enough.
  • The writing is very hard to read. If you want it to look cursive while also keeping it readable, you can include a left click button which will pop up a window with readable text, of course this has to be told to the player through an on-screen gui text message. (Example from the game SOMA)
  • It's unclear how to exit the notes, you could include extra buttons like right click and escape to exit.
  • If you don't grab the gun, the text is still the same in the end, as if you have the gun.
  • You can't shoot the gun, but at the end you are able to shoot the gun and have infinite ammo, what?
  • Shooting the gun at the end at the monster does nothing unfortunately.

Overall, I really enjoyed the experience, I was hoping to see more hidden stuff, but regardless it was an experience worthwhile. Great job!
