I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was sort of taking shots in the dark with it, being my first game. It's a relief to know it can be fun! I will pass along your kind words to the artist as well.
Your critique is understandable as well. It's not the first time I was told how circuitous the game could be. I tried to put too much in too small a space and relied on exploration to advance storylines. It's a fair criticism and why the next project will be much more linear.
