Tried it out. Very fun.  I don't get how people get really good lighting in 2d. I liked the muzzle flash of the guns and kind of that  out-in-the-woods campfire glare.

Haha thanks for the comments! I can't take credit myself for the lighting, my team members hit that one on the nail! I had my share of fun on this project tho!

Your project has a sweet mechanic and a "got me in the feels" aesthetic that I think can be enjoyed by all

I did the lighting, basically all of the lights were just Point Lights in Unity with various settings positioned at z = -1. The gun flash had its intensity modified by an animation. All the sprites we applied lighting to (which was basically all of them), had to have a Sprites > Diffuse material. Did you use the URP? (Universal render pipeline). Anyways bravo!
