Each dotted cube represents one tile in a level. With an area of 24 by 24 tiles to create your level in, that's a total of over 500 editable tiles! And, there will also be several camera modes you can switch to, like first person (shown in the 2nd image below) which lets you view your level from different perspectives while creating it.
