What I liked
- How you implemented/interpreted the theme was unique.
- The environment looks really nice.
- I'm always a fan of playing as a duck. I do not know why.
- The atmospheric music was interesting
Feedback / Suggestions
- This game doesn't provide enough player feedback, specifically hit and death sounds. I really had to die a few times and look at the hitbox and hurtbox areas before I knew how to play with the sword. I think prioritizing this over music is a better choice during a game jam to prevent people from having to do what I did or worse, losing someone's interest before they can truly play the game and appreciate it.
- There was a consistent issue with getting stuck in doorways. Luckily dashing in the opposite direction would get me unstuck, it was still disrupting to the experience.
- Although your implementation of the theme is unique, I had to read how you intended to inclue the theme. It wasn't clear just by playing by it.
Overall, I think this is a really cool idea for a game and there's enough to it to get an idea of how good it can be if you continue work on it. Congratulations on an ambitious project!
