Fairly certain, though I may be wrong. I've restarted three times on the update (for varying reasons), and on each run, I could not do the homework. I didn't have this issue in 931.
Well, no matter how I try to make a exception, I can't do it. I'm afraid that without screenshots of this I won't be able to fix it.
The fact that you can't do the task is the norm. This is influenced by the level of intelligence of your character.
If things are really bad, you can try to get someone else to do their homework.
To be honest, even reproducing all this, I didn't get a renpy exception.
