Running this with a save from the previous version leads me down a couple of exceptions, ultimately ending at this: https://pastebin.com/JxwNetU8

Always extract it into an empty new directory/folder to update the game. Don't overwrite the existing.

If a save doesn't load, pick a save at the beginning of a day, as soon as Celica wakes up.

You can always load the autosave in the q section of the load screen. These are guaranteed to work.

Update was done through the itch.io app, so I can't influence overwriting, etc.
