Some of your commanders need Elvish or Magical artifacts, are they in the game yet? It is a long haul to get an old dusty book.

Yes, you can find them in chests during the strategy battles with the vanguards.

Cheers, I've had quite a few battles and always go for the chest, but the rarest item I've found is an old dusty book. I'll just try more.

do anyone know where to get a stolen artefact on the overview map because i'm at a loss where to find one

You can find any type of artefact in the chests that you come across in the vanguard battles. You can also get lucky and get artefacts in the bonus battle mission as the final reward.

The chests is correct but some especially elvish and magical seem very rare - need more options to win then like noble and holy artifacts in the arena - you can't progress the command centre without them - I got a couple of stolen articts in the 1st battle, just lucky i guess, good hunting.

The caravan merchant that shows up on the overview map every once in a while offers the ability to swap artifacts. so you can change artifacts of non-elven type for elven artifacts.

Thanks for the info, I have discovered this from a recent update, and had pleny of artifacts (esp. noble artifacts) to swap out. I now have my forces up to level 10 at the Command Centre, which I believe is the current maximum. It also helped for magic artifacts that some Squad leaders needed to max out, so cheers for that again.

I'm not sure I understand the question - Fang is the man with the thief skill and opens the chests you find. As your units improve be sure you don't wipe out the enemy before fang gets to the chest. Hope that helps.
