Heh, this was a fun meta entry. Can we please all agree that advisor guy was a jerk, though? Or, at the very least, lacking even the most fundamental communication skills? Having a point is worth nothing if you're not able to convey it without calling the other person stupid. Also, none of their criticism was constructive in any way (at least in the beginning). Telling someone "this doesn't work" without giving any reasons or ways to improve is just not helpful in any way. I can totally understand why designer guy got defensive about it.

Anyway, this game sucks I quite enjoyed the narrative here. I know the point of the game is to be not particularily enjoyable, but I actually did get a little frustrated at the part where I had to answer questions. I really liked the idea to actually be able to influence the story a bit, but even after finding that sinking the cu(b)e ball worked, I often needed several attempts to actually do so. Maybe it would have been a good idea to keep the tilt mechanic during that part of the game?

Physics were a little janky, but again, I guess that's the point of the game. It would have been nice to have a more satisfying ending than just turning the dice back into balls, though.

All in all, definitely a worthwile narrative experience. And a good cautionary tale to surround yourself with people who can support and challenge you at the same time.

Yeah, we wrote the characters in a way where none of them really listen to each other's advice, but they do come to respect each other eventually. I based both off the relationship I had with one of my mentors.

As far as the controls go, it's your fault we wanted to make them difficult to show how terrible of an idea pool with dice would be. We didn't give you the tilt controls back because we wanted you to be engaged throughout the game, and tilting dice around on the table isn't as fun as trying to  herd dice towards the pockets.

Glad you liked it! Thanks for the great feedback!

I was going to say we put in the dice models at the last minute and didn't have time to tweak the friction values, but the cannon explanation sounds better haha :)
