Arc has plans on continuing the same universe (tho Robin's story is probably going to end in this game, or at least he won't be the protagonist anymore)

That and also Arc is probably going to work in a different, unrelated project before the sequel comes along.

What Cursed said :)  I have (very) rough drafts for the plot outline of CK2 and CK3, which I'm excited to get to, but my next game won't be CK2 - I've been working with these characters for three years now and I'll need a break to avoid burnout.

That doesn't mean that the next game won't take part in the CK universe, though. The fun thing about the Nexus is that theoretically anything can be connected... (cue suspenseful music!)
