I tried to reinstall but the problem still occure. I hope for a fix quick. This game is so good (and because a mistake), i gave 5$ 2 times :D

The battle works, you just installed the game from the itch application. Download the game manually. For some reason itch breaks the combat system. But it works properly if you do not install the game through the application.
