fishing....it doesn't say anything on how to add improvements to the fishing rod. I have tried right clicking the fake lure, and clicking on the road...it doesn't speed anything up. i can get the bobber on fishing line, but the rest, well it speeds nothing up, i mean i miss about 99.9% of every fish in the lake...really needs a big improvement on the fishing system, and i mean a big improvement, like explaining to new players like me a) how to add improvements to your fishing road, b) i am unconvinced that if the fake lures are being added they do nothing. c) i think you need to look at the fishing system, because the way i feel is unless you want to waste all day every day at the park pond lol, then yeah. surely it might have been better to actually level up the fishing skill, so you automatically get quicker at reeling in, and stronger, the higher the level you are in fishing? i don't know much so far lol, great game so far. very comedic at times lol

Hello! I'm aware it's not really intuitive. In the next update, you have to actually EQUIP the items into the fishing rod and you see the stats the moment you're fishing.
How does it work right now?
There are 3 values; Strength, Speed, and Seconds.
Strength improves how much "damage" you do to the fish BY REELING. Moving the mouse around the circle thingy where the arrow points.
Speed improves how much "damage" you do AUTOMATICALLY. It is not a big change, but with a couple of improvements and items, you can get a really nice boost.
Seconds are the seconds you get to catch a fish.
You DON'T HAVE to do anything. Once the items are in the INVENTORY, they apply the boost. (Read the item description)
Also, you can use the levels you get from all activities to upgrade fishing. Check the book at the right corner of the screen.
I hope this information works, at least for now.
