it's been twice now for me. I basically sacrifice myself if i see a teammate at the window. otherwise i flip into long route mode.
What do you mean the "long route mode"?
The way through the window just save about 3 seconds for me (I enjoy using it because it's safer and amazing).
I don't always get the jump on to the galleys because of my heavy fast build so I have to go around the long way.
