Careful with this — the word Tetris and the song Korobeiniki are trademarks of The Tetris Company, who are known for being more litigious than Nintendo.

in terms of gameplay, how is this any different from a standard game of tetris? nothing special seemed to happen during my entire playthrough

The monsters spawn after you clear 5 rows of the dirt at the bottom. I put a little indicator of a person going down a track on the side to indicate how far you are to the next monster encounter, maybe could have made the indicator more obvious that you want to be clearing down and not just playing tetris on top of the dirt. The tris suffix I figured would be safe given how many unaffiliated versions out there exist that share that name fragment, the music I grabbed off freesound although it might be that freesound's not always safe

I was referring not to the name “DelveTris” but to the tagline “Tetris your way…”. And the song from freesound, ignoring TTC’s trademark, is licensed under CC-BY 4.0. Which means your game or its description must contain a specific bit of text stating who made this rendition of the song and where it came from.

As for the dirt: my playthrough had no dirt at the bottom, just a smattering of what looked like bloody knives

Oh whoops, fixed up those bits in the text.

If you were getting rows with knives at the bottom then you reached a monster. I wanted to do some hit/attack sounds and effects so that it'd be more obvious when a monster's attacking but only had time to do a little flash on the side when the monster appears. There's some amount of variance in how disruptive the enemies I made are, I do like where I had the monster that sticks knives in your pile at, just think I could have sold it a bit more if I had time to do some effects for all the enemies, there's only maybe two where their presence is very overtly obvious without any extra visual effects
