The pixel art and visual effects are really nice! The “god rays” are cool and the particles (fireflies?) are a nice touch too. The character has a lot of personality and juice. And there are a lot of different looking enemies too. (And I didn’t even get that far I think.)

A few sound effects should have been added. Without it, the game has less life and is less enjoyable.

While the art is really nice, there’s a few issues with visual language. Like the breakable barrier that you have to attack to make progress. It should look like it’s breakable and that you should hit it. And you should establish some sort of visual pattern with that so other breakable/hittable things have that same visual cue. (Assuming there are other breakable things – which I think there should be – more for players to do.) When I got the the first barrier, I thought I was actually supposed to jump over it somehow because it looks just like the land titles but with some sort of writing on them.

I was able to fall down a shaft and get stuck. Through this I found that landing on spikes just does 1 hp of damage which seemed odd. But worse is that I was stuck for good. Player should never be able to get stuck in a game or get to an area without the ability to get out of that area.

So, this is another game in the jam that’s a very nice start to a fuller game! I need to make a list of those and check up on them again! This would be one of them! So, I hope you go back, add sounds and continue!

My team is contemplating what to work on next. Should we continue with our mvm16 entry? Or not? We’d love to know your thoughts on that and anything else about our game! So, please try our game out, rate it and let us know what you think in the comments! Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate thems. It's just a demo so there are many bugs and some areas was disabled, we'll continue to improve and make a full version in the future, hope you continue to follow this project.

Of course, we will also try and give advice for your game soon.

Thanks for give us the feedback to make it better.
