I think that this is a really cool game! Reminds me of this little game I played once called Daggerhood. The mechanic is a good idea and is fun to play! The game is challenging, but not overly so. I like the art, it's cute, although the background was a little uh... crunchy looking, haha.
The only thing I'd really say is that I'm not totally sure about the connection to the theme? Aside from that, great job!
