Due to the fact that you did not pass the branch with Suzuki, you have closed the further possibility of moving along the plot. You can change this with cheats. Otherwise, you will have to go through the game again, but with the expectation that you will pass the storyline with Suzuki successfully.

Also, how would I activate cheats? I'd rather not replay that much of the game again...
I failed Suzuki's story way back at the beginning of the game as that was the first thing I did. Why are you able to progress so far if you're guaranteed to hit a roadblock a few hours later? You should definitely look into blocking progression if such a minor event ruins hours of gameplay.
