This was awesome. The visuals were both trippy and meaningful in a way. I really liked how the perspective changed in that one area. Super creative and interesting. Sure, the first person controls weren't the modern standard, but I think that actually added to the overall style.

Did the controls seem intentionally limited or did it seem like I ran out of time? Do you think it would be better if I made it more obvious it was intentional (by creating some arbitrary skipping/jittering), or would it be better to increase the player's ability to move?

I thought it seemed intentional. For me it added a little extra flavour to have the more limited controls. Maybe it would be helpful to use something to make it seem more intentional for those that might not have as much experience with that style. Or maybe you could make it so the controls are limited or less limited in certain situations like if the player defeats something something extra difficult and negative, you might get a slight extra amount of freedom of motion?  That would be tough to balance though.

I really like the idea of making camera movement less restrictive with progression. Thanks!
