Good work with your submission! Personally, I thought that maybe the randomness was a bit too much for me to set up a viable strategy. Either that or maybe there isn't enough player feedback to let you know a good strategic placement of the platforms. I do think this could easily be fixed though.
Maybe one idea could be a flash of light from up above from the area a person would be falling? Such as red for the bad souls and white for the good souls. That way it could be a pre-emptive warning for the player to position a platform.
I really liked the music in the game, too!
