Might consider implementing that later on. (Generally speaking it's best to select "Linear" in the custom settings, and tune the expo curve exactly as you want on your transmitter. That is, if you have a transmitter were you can adjust it with great flexibility.). Sounds like you found a pretty good workaround though!
